Can hackers alter the receiving addresses if my phone/app is hacked?

Modified on Thu, 1 Dec, 2022 at 12:14 AM

CoolWallet allows users to visually authenticate the actual receiving address and the transaction amount on the e-Paper display.

The address shown on the e-Paper display does not pass through your App; thus, it is protected from malicious attacks. Moreover, CoolWallet uses a patented "Cold Compression" process which prevents potential intercepting devices from being installed to alter any of the transaction details. With this state-of-the-art compression process, no hackers can disassemble the wallet, place an intercepting device, and reassemble the wallet back to its original state.

To enable the visual authentication feature, simply go to the "Settings page" of the App, select Show Full Address under Card Management, and enable the feature.

Once enabled, you will be able to see the full receiving address during the transaction. However, as the addresses are usually long, they will be separated by multiple segments. Please press the wallet button to switch to the next segment.
