Do you support replace-by-fee (RBF) feature for BTC transactions?

Yes, CoolWallet App version 3.11.0 and above support RBF for BTC transactions.

Replace-by-Fee (RBF) is a feature that allows Bitcoin users to replace their original transactions by paying a higher fee.

RBF enables users to gradually increase the transaction fee until the transaction is confirmed on-chain and added into the block. It is especially useful in situations where the need for transaction confirmation becomes more urgent or when the network is congested and higher fees are required for timely processing.

The "bump fee" button will only be displayed under the following conditions:

  • The transaction is sent using either USDT (OMNI) or BTC.

  • The transaction is an RBF (Replace-By-Fee) transaction.

  • The transaction only includes one single receiving address and one single sending address. Currently, the CoolWallet App only supports transactions with a single sending address and does not support transactions with multiple different sending addresses or multiple different receiving addresses.

You can click on the pending BTC transaction in the ”History” page and "bump fee" to utilize this feature.

CoolWallet will help you calculate the appropriate bumping fee. Taking the example below, you will be sending a total of 0.008318 BTC from your wallet, which includes 0.0083 BTC to the recipient and a transaction fee of 0.000018 BTC.

Please note that if your BTC balance is not sufficient to cover both the total amount and the transaction fee, the additional fee will be deducted directly from the transaction amount. Taking the example below, you will be sending a total of 0.0083 BTC from your wallet, which includes 0.008272 BTC (0.0083 - 0.000028) to the recipient, and an additional transaction fee of 0.000028 BTC.
