Can CoolWallet work stand-alone?

CoolWallet ensures security by combining two-factor authentication with a smartphone or a tablet. So it must be used with a smartphone (iPhone or Android).

Can I add more tokens to my CoolWallet?

Users can manually add more coins and customized tokens to their CoolWallet S/Pro.

Types of tokens and coins supported by CoolWallet S/Pro are listed here.

How can I add customized tokens to my CoolWallet?

Open the CoolWallet App, go to 'Wallet'/'Manage.' Click on the upper-right '+' symbol, and scroll to the bottom of the page to select ' Add Custom Token.' You can choose to scan the QR Code or paste the contract address to add the custom token you want to the CoolWallet App.

Follow these steps to add customized tokens:

1. For example, open the CoinMarketCap website and locate the magnifying glass icon (search function) in the upper right corner of the page.

2. Click on 'Explorers' to view the public ledger details for the token.

3. And on that page, locate the '‘Contract Address'’ in the lower left and click on the icon on the right to copy it directly.

4. Alternatively, you can continue scrolling down the page to find the '‘Chain explorers'’ and choose the network you want to add.

5. The page will then automatically redirect to the network you chose to add. Please click on  ''Other Information' on the right.

6. At this point, the screen displays the contract address you selected. Please choose the QR code icon to scan it.

7. Click "Add" to finalize the integration of the token.

Which tokens are supported by CoolWallet Pro and CoolWallet S?

CoolWallet Pro and CoolWallet S support all ERC-20 and BEP-20 tokens. However, only CoolWallet Pro users can add other token types, such as ARC-20 and TRC-20.

Which blockchain explorers can I use to find token details?

You can use a variety of explorers based on the token type:

1. EtherScan: For Ethereum / ERC tokens

2. Arbiscan: For Arbitrum / ERC tokens

3. Polygonscan: For Polygon / ERC tokens

4. BscScan: For BSC / BEP-20 tokens

5. TRONSCAN: For Tron / TRC-20 tokens

6. Solscan: For Solana / SPL tokens

Can I change the price quote displayed in other fiat currencies?

Of course yes! You can simply go to the "settings page" of the App and click "Alternative Currency" for your desired displaying currency. An App update may be required if this feature is not present.

Can I leave my cryptocurrencies in CoolWallet without using it?

Absolutely. CoolWallet securely stores only your private keys, which prove your crypto ownership. Your actual cryptocurrencies are on their respective blockchains. Ensure you've backed up your recovery phrases (12-24 words or numbers) as it's crucial for asset recovery in case the card faces issues.

Can I use a third-party seed on CoolWallet?

While CoolWallet supports BIP44 and BIP49 protocols, we advise caution when considering importing a 3rd party seed. There's no guarantee of the seed's concealment, and the original device may have been compromised. If the 3rd party wallet follows the same protocols as CoolWallet, wallet data can be retrieved using the same seed. However, for your security, it's best to use seeds generated by CoolWallet.

How to send & receive cryptocurrencies?

Please refer to the following link for more information.

Will there be a transaction fee when sending in the CoolWallet App?

CoolWallet is different from centralized exchanges in that when you send cryptocurrencies, you need to pay the native coin of that blockchain as a transaction fee. We recommend that you use the default fees provided by the CoolWallet App for sending. Therefore, before sending cryptocurrencies, please ensure that the address has enough "native coins" to cover the transaction fee.

Please refer to the following examples:

When sending USDT (ERC-20), you need to pay in ETH (the native coin of the Ethereum network).

When sending USDT (BEP-20), you need to pay in BNB (Binance Smart Chain).

When sending USDT (TRC-20), you need to pay in TRX (Tron).

How can I see my crypto balances on the CoolWallet display and manually synchronize them after transactions?

The CoolWallet provides a completely offline storage environment and displays the primary cryptocurrencies directly on the E-Paper display, including BTC, LTC, ETH, and XRP. For Bitcoin, the amount displayed combines the balances from BTC Custom Segwit, BTC Nested Segwit, and BTC Taproot addresses. For example, if these three address formats hold 0.1, 0.5, and 1 BTC respectively, the total displayed on the CoolWallet card after synchronization will be 1.6 BTC.

To manually synchronize your balances after completing transactions, follow these steps:

1. Ensure your phone is paired with the CoolWallet.

2. Navigate to the "Settings" in the CoolWallet App.

3. Under the “Card” column, select "Sync Crypto Balance to Card" to update the display data on the card.

For cryptocurrencies other than BTC, LTC, ETH, and XRP, you will need to check the balances through the wallet page in the CoolWallet App, as these are not displayed directly on the card. This ensures that you always have the most up-to-date information on your digital assets while maintaining high security and control over your transactions.

Why is my history page not showing the funds I just sent?

After initiating a transaction, funds first land in the Mempool awaiting miner processing. Until confirmed, these transactions aren't on the blockchain, which means they won't appear on our history page. Delays can occur if transaction fees are low or network traffic is high.
